Introduction

The Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), through the University School of Tourism and Hotel Management (EUTDH), together with the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation (FTI) and the Center for Studies and Research on East Asia (CERAO) present the University official Master’s Degree in
European Union - China: Culture and Economy.

This program receives the experience of a very successful UAB-specific Master's Degree that had four editions and in the 2012-2013 academic year has been renewed to become the first official master of its kind in the Hispanic-Chinese business world and in all Spain. This new status gives it recognition throughout the EHEA (European Higher Education Area) and that is why this distinction makes the UAB a pioneering center.

According to the "Times Higher Education Ranking" of 2015-2016, the UAB is Spain’s best university. In addition, the master has been consolidated in 2016 as one of the 5 best in the field of international studies according to the ranking of the Spanish newspaper "El Mundo".

The objective of these studies is to train specialists, academics and executives who can immerse directly into the labor market in Spain, the EU, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao, Latin America and the Caribbean, both in business and institutions or non-governmental organizations. It will also qualify graduates for research activities in different aspects of business administration and intercultural studies in the East-West dialogue context. And finally, a better understanding and proficiency in the EU and Chinese economy, as well as in business management, through intercultural and cross-cultural study, facilitating a fluent human and cultural communication in the business world.
